The last five years have been very difficult times for concerts in the Fair and Festival business. More and more fairs and festivals have reported losses on their entertainment investments, and many more are headed in that direction.
The problem is that for many special events, doing nothing is not an option. After years of depending upon concerts as both a generator of revenue, as well as a primary advertising tool, getting out of the music business may not be immediately possible.
Nevertheless, continuing to promote shows via the old model could lead to financial hardship and in extreme examples, possibly bankruptcy. The choice is grim, but this is where Meridian Entertainment Group comes in.
Meridian Entertainment Group may be interested in promoting concerts at your event and taking on 100% of the risk in doing so. We are looking for a limited number of opportunities in 2009 with a larger rollout in 2010 if we are happy with the results.
